Grace Update

I have heard from many of you that you miss Grace updates. Let's just say, she's really keeping my hands full these days. But she is adorable and her little toddler personality is emerging and filling our lives with joy.

Grace is a climber.

She loves to empty things. If she's quiet for more than 30 seconds, you can safely assume that she has found something to empty

like the shoe basket...

or a box of tissues...

 or a bookshelf...

or, her favorite, a dresser drawer!

This does come in handy when it's time to empty the dryer.

Grace is also a wonderful human shredder. She takes care of our junk mail every day.

She does also play with actual toys. She loves her baby and feeds her a bottle and puts her to bed.

She also loves her Rody.

And her rocking elephant (which she can rock on all by herself now)!

Now that spring is here, we get outside a lot. Grace loves walks and the park. She could swing for hours and is fearless on the slides.

Speaking of walking, little Miss Independent doesn't even need Mommy's hand anymore. There's no stopping her! If you try to grab her hand or redirect her against her will, she just sits down and refuses to move!

When it comes to eating, it's all independence too. She won't let anyone spoon feed her and is just learning how to use a spoon herself. As a result, we've had to become creative with breakfasts. Goodbye oatmeal, hello waffles with peanut butter!

Grace maintains her sense of style, although it's hard to keep a headband on her these days. But check out her red shoes! These were Mommy's when she was a little girl!

We are just starting to have enough hair to pull back in a hair tie. Again, the hair ties rarely last for long but she does look cute and rather grown up when they are in!
Graces still is full of smiles. She waves and says "hi" and smiles at everyone she sees. If the person is under the age of ten, then she kicks and screams too. She just gets that excited by big kids!

Speaking of being big... Grace has a little announcement to make...

It's hard to see it on the shirt but it says "Big Sister" because Grace is going to be a big sister! Her little brother or sister will be here in September!
