Grace turned 3 on January 12th and let me tell you...I don't think a girl could be more proud of herself! Shortly after her birthday we went on a trip to TN to see family and she eagerly told every security guard and flight attendant that her name was Grace and she was 3 (while struggling to get those 3 little fingers straight). Our first Sunday back from our trip, on the way to church, she told her that her teachers had not seen her 3 yet and she would have to tell them that she is 3!
Anyway, here are the pictures from her riotous third birthday (think 30 kids under 5 plus about as many adults)!
| That was a Dora bounce house! |
| One of the troopers - this guy doesn't even have children yet and he came to our crazy party! |
| She literally just ate the frosting and sprinkles...and these were Krispy Kremes! |
| Trying to capture the backyard mayhem. Thank God for warm CA Januaries! |
| This picture is hard to see but at one point, Grace slipped into the house to get some quite away time and just take it all in! |
| Best. Daddy. Ever. |
| Grace and her buddy Lydia |
| I said no presents :o) |
| Opening her "Gigi and Me" book |
| Loved the blanket from Aunt Alice |
| Our CA girl wanted to go to the local vegan restaurant for her birthday dinner. That's the vegan cupcake we brought home for dessert. Don't knock it 'til you try it! |
P.S. ATTENTION PARENTS We discovered the easiest party idea ever: 10-12, bagels, coffee, donuts. And a bounce house to burn off the sugar. It means little work for us and easy clean up. I highly recommend it!!
PRECIOUS! Happy birthday big girl Grace. She looks SO OLD in the picture where she's looking at her Gigi book. And excellent advice about the party idea. I am definitely listening. :)
