What We've Been Up To Part 2

This is the part that is "life in Chattanooga before we had a newborn." :o) Weston is actually a very easy baby but I still divide life here as pre and post Weston. Before Weston was born, we were living downtown in a furnished apartment provided by Zane's employer. We moved into our new house when he was three weeks old and those three weeks are kind of a blur!

Anyway...Life in Chattanooga Part 1

We've been enjoying reconnecting with old friends - some in Chattanooga who Zane has known since preschool and others from our time DC that live nearby or drive through on occasion.

Our reunion with the Roberts and Dickens early July
Grace performing with one of her new friends here, Shepard.
Zane and his father have been friends since they were this age!
Chattanooga is a great, family-friendly town and we loved the access we had to things from our apartment downtown (that said, it's only a 15 minute drive now).
Just some everyday pictures from our apartment and walks across the Walnut St "Walking" Bridge. Gigi's Cupcakes and Frozen Yogurt was a regular destination for after-dinner walks!

We did a lot of coloring!
Grace took swim lessons at the Y and Lucy and I enjoyed watching.
Zane's work sponsored a family night at the local minor league baseball team's game. It was the first big game we had taken the girls to. They mostly just enjoyed the food!
This is the girls' favorite place in Chattanooga - The Creative Discovery Museum for kids. We visited once a week at least while we lived downtown. It was just two blocks from our apartment.
I don't want to brag but the free babysitting from local family has been wonderful!
The girls watching a movie with Nonni and Poppi while Zane and I went on a date!

A car upgrade along with the free babysitting (we left them the van and took the convertible out on the town!)

About to pop...
The girls got new jammies this summer and wear them almost every night. (I don't let them sleep with the crowns on.)

Weston decided to take his time coming. When he still wasn't here yet on his due date, the girls and I went on a donut date!

Gigi arrived later that day, ready to help out but Weston still wasn't here...

Continued in Part 3 with Weston's grand arrival!
