Grace and I have loved getting to spend time with Tina and Benjamin ("Benja") since they moved up here about a month ago. Tina and I have known each other for 3 1/2 years, since my time as an intern on Capitol Hill. We bonded over our love for travel and things international and especially for tea! It is cool how God allowed us both to embark on the journey of motherhood within just a few months of each other. I know I have been encouraged by our chats over cups of tea and Grace has benefited from the great hand-me-downs.
This weekend is Benjamin's first birthday. He is a very special little boy. I just love getting him to smile and laugh. And it touches my heart that he now knows me and will come joyfully to me. Yesterday, Grace and I met Tina and Benja in Rosslyn to snap a few pictures of the big 1-year-old. I am no Kristin Solomon but appreciated the opportunity to play and practice.
