I think I mentioned in the last post that one of the neat answers to prayer with Lucy's arrival was how perfectly the timing coordinated with my mom's travel plans. Mom arrived the day after Lucy was born on September 22nd and stayed until this past Monday, October 10th. She was the most perfect help, "Mary Poppins" as we called her. Every morning, she got up with Grace. Every day she played and walked and read with Grace. Every evening she made a delicious dinner and cleaned up and she even had time to stock our freezer with some of our favorite things! And every night she held Lucy and soothed her into a peaceful sleep. Mom also chronicled her visit with pictures and gave me copies. Most of the pictures I'm about to post are hers. I am so thankful for all she did and really appreciate all the pictures. In the blur of the Lucy's first two weeks of life I really didn't get my camera out enough. Time goes by so quickly with little ones and something happens to Mommies' brains and we forget too much!
Thank you Mom for being a delightful addition to our home and serving us so selflessly. And thank you for capturing the memories of this special time in our lives!
