The Big Girl

I've been collecting these pictures of Grace for a month or so. She is so full of life and exploring new things all the time; it's hard to keep up with her!

I don't know how many of you have read the book Olivia, but a dear friend just sent it to us saying that Grace reminds her a little of Olivia. Well, Grace IS Olivia! My favorite part of the story is the end where, while putting Olivia to bed, her mother says, "You sure do wear me out. But I love you anyway."

Well, Grace is in bed now and worn out is a good summary of how I feel. But I'll take the wearing out any day for the joy of being this little girl's mommy!

Here's Grace's newest hair do

And her favorite outfit :o)

She's very expressive!

And pretty good at building towers (ok, Mom does help some).

Grace loves the park! Swinging is still her favorite past-time.

Going to the park with friends is a blast! Grace loves her new neighbor friend, Sophia.  Sophia is more than happy to just follow Grace around and do whatever she says. Grace likes that!

The last time Daddy took Grace to the park, she impressed him with her ability to hang from the monkey bars all by herself.

One of our favorite things to do is meet Daddy for a picnic lunch at the park near his office.

Another favorite thing to do with Daddy is watch football on Saturdays. Other than Sesame Street and the Curious George movie, football is Grace's favorite thing to watch on TV.

Grace has a new scooter and a pretty sweet helmet. We are debating having her wear it all day long because of how she crazy she is!

Grace loves to have friends over and eat at her little white table with them.

Sharing ice cream with Daddy at her table is still the best!

Grace loves her big girl bed and wants everyone to join her on it. We are really thankful we got a sturdy one! She loves to get "under sheets" and cuddle and read books.

She especially loved getting her friend McKayla  to play with her on her bed.

Her lovie and her thumb still are her greatest comforts and this is a sight we see many times a day. It's just too cute! I know we'll have our hands full when it's time to break her of the habit!

Grace loves her baby sister and is always asking to hold her!

Oh, Grace, thank you for filling our home with joy!
