or a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Every perfect Fall outing day has to start with pumpkin pancakes...right?
After Lucy's nap, we headed to Inglewood (ok, not the nicest part of town) to watch the space shuttle Endeavor on it's 12-mile trek from LAX to the Science Center. This was $10 million dollar, 2+ day half-marathon! We look forward to seeing the shuttle at it's new home but the journey there was just about as cool. It's not every day that you see a space shuttle cruising down the street!
On our way back to the car, we saw Luke Wilson. It was a very strange celebrity sighting (white unmarked van, he was in a shirt and tie despite the heat not to mention the occasion)! Zane tried to get a picture but got the "I need to scratch my eyebrow and lean back away from the window!"
That night, Zane and I got to attend a cool event at an insane Beverly Hills Mansion to raise money for a local organization that helps foster youth adjust out of the system into independent adult life. Some of the best restaurants and wineries in the area set up tables where we got to sample their food. The food (and desserts!!!) were incredible! And the setting was stunning. I tried to get a picture of the the garden but it was dark.
Oh and check out the deluxe port-a-potties :o)
