Yesterday was Grace's birthday. We tried to make it an extra special day but I really don't think she got it. It was fun for us anyway!
We started off the day with a pancake breakfast. Grace got special pancakes...
At lunchtime, we picked Daddy up and went to Hard Times. They made Grace a special meal of mac 'n cheese and applesauce!
Later that afternoon we skyped with Dr. Gigi and Grandpa. Yes, that's right, "Dr." Gigi. She passed her dissertation defense yesterday with flying colors! (Note Grace's cute birthday outfit, compliments of Nonni.)
Grace got one of her favorite things for dinner...tofu! We found out in Colorado that she loves tofu. She managed to eat only the tofu, picking it out of the rice and pork.
Then came the cupcake...
Grace was more interested in the candle than the cupcake but she managed to eat a few bites.
Bath time followed next.
We were on skype with Nonni and Poppi during the cupcake eating and bath.
After that, we had a little chat with PawPaw and Grandma Carol.
And then it was off to bed for this big one-year-old.
