Superfood Recipe #3: Super Smoothie

I found another use for my kale - adding it to a smoothie. I made my first "green" smoothie a few months or so ago when I was still really struggling with morning sickness and trying to find a way to get more veggies into my diet. Here's a recent variation that includes both kale and spinach and tastes delicious!

Super Smoothie
(makes 1 pregnant momma serving or 2 normal servings :o))

Ingredients:
a handful of raw kale
a handful of raw spinach
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup orange juice
honey and vanilla extract to taste

Throw everything into a blender! I recommend starting the juice and ending with the yogurt, otherwise, it can take a little longer for everything to sink to the bottom and get mixed in.

The beauty of smoothies is that you can do whatever you want with them so experiment away!
