Jesus is King

The other day, Grace was talking about Jesus and Zane asked her who Jesus is. She thought for a couple of moments and then said "Maker." Then she said "King" and "coming back."

This morning, we were listening to one of my favorite songs "Soon" by Brooke Fraser and I said to Grace, "Jesus is returning soon!" She smiled and looked at me and said "Jesus returning to Gracie and Mommy and Daddy and Lucy!"

I had time alone today and in the car I was listening to another favorite song " Hope" by Esther Grace Ellis and feeling a rush of peace at the line "Jesus is King." It reminded me of those sweet conversations with Grace. I wonder what she understands. I wonder what she feels.
