A Mother's Heart

I don't have much reach with this blog...but with what voice I have I thought I'd share about an important project called KONY 2012. It's a project of Invisible Children, a group I heard present back when I was in college. KONY 2012 is aimed at giving kitchen-table notoriety to a terrible war criminal who kidnaps children in Uganda and forces them to fight in an army he calls the Lord's Resistance Army.


As a mother, the thought of someone kidnapping my child is terrifying. And as mother, the thought of that someone forcing my daughter to be a sex slave or my son a killer is infuriating.

Our God has the heart of a mother and I'm sure His breaks for these children too.
"Can a woman forget her nursing child,
    that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
    yet I will not forget you."
