Next up...COLORADO!

The girls and I flew straight from TN to CO for a Licata (my mom's maiden name) sister family reunion. It was all the Licata women including my grandmother and great aunt, all of my mom's sisters and my girl cousins and Abby, my cousin Kendall's daughter.

(If you are on Google+ and know my mother, than you have seen all of these pictures already.)

Goodmorning, CO! I just love the morning light in my parents' backyard.
Breakfast outside with Gigi
My parents have a pogo swing too. That's my cousin Caroline pushing Grace.
The it was time for work in Gigi's garden like Mr. McGregor.

Checking under the flower pots for Peter Rabbit
Hoeing

Before the reunion, one of my aunts posted on Facebook that we'd be "exercising, eating healthy food and watching chick-flicks" and that was about right.

We walked to Whole Foods. From left to right that's my Aunt Louise, my Grandmother Catherine, my Aunt Alice and my cousin Meredith.

There's a fun fountain near the Whole Foods what used to be a dead mall and is now a beautiful outdoor shopping center with nice restaurants, boutiques, a movie theater and library.
My Dad was a trooper, the only guy (except for a visit from my cousin's boyfriend) amidst a bunch of crazy italian women! He was such a servant all weekend, washing dishes, shuttling us around, babysitting etc! He even had to give up his bed and sleep at a neighbor's so my Aunt Laura could share my mom's room like they did as girls.

soaked!

The rest of the party arrives. Again from left to right it's Aunt Laura, Grandma, Aunt Louise and Great Aunt Betty (my grandmother's sister)

You never have to asked Gigi twice if she wants to give Lucy a bottle!

This is my cousin's adorable baby Abigail

Pop lovin' life like a kid! Grace and Lucy are so blessed to have healthy, engaged grandparents.

"Hi!"

Julia Margason (and her mom and sisters) were kind of honorary guests for the reunion

That's my crazy girl!

My mom has more pictures of this but we all dressed as cows on July 13th for free Chic-fil-a lunches

Grace loves moving around the bunnies in my mom's garden. Here she and "Peter" are having a conversation.

Lucy got to ride the Pogo too

I just love this picture of my mom and the girls

My cousin Meredith's boyfriend came up from the Air Force Academy. Don't worry, we made him do dishes too :o). That's Meredith in the middle and another cousine, MacKenzie on the right.

Another cute picture of Abby

My grandmother!

Great group picture!

What are they called when their moms are cousins?

One evening, we found Grandma and Grace out in the garden like this with the bunnies

This picture seems very Victorian to me

Lucy cracks me up in this picture.

Mom's birthday!

Look at this precious outfit her aunt MacKenzie got her!

Grace found one of Uncle Alex's beloved toys in his room - this is Chi Chi
Then everyone left...and it was just me and the girls with my parents for a few days.

Pop had scoped out this cool wading pool that was made in the creek by our house

He had been looking forward to taking Grace there. And she loved it!

on the phone with Daddy - she paces just like me!

Our last full day there we went to lunch but snapped a 3 Generations shot beforehand.
A few last pictures of the girls loving their grandparents..

It was a long time to be away (3 weeks today and 10 days away from Zane at the end) but it was great to be with family. We so value those relationships and love watching our girls enjoy and be enjoyed by their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
